Consolidated billing for Community Solar

With its recent letter to the PSC, Citizens for Local Power joins other forces calling on the Public Service Commission to authorize consolidated billing for Community Solar (solar farm) purchasers and subscribers.

Currently, if you join a Community Solar program (or a small hydro program like that offered by Natural Power Group, you receive two bills: one from Central Hudson, and another from the Community Solar or hydro power provider. This is a confusing and unnecessary hassle and makes it difficult for customers to confirm the savings of 10% (yes!) they can expect as a Community Solar member. Consolidated billing will also make it easier for Community Choice Aggregation programs to enroll their members in solar energy programs.
