A much-welcomed crackdown on the unscrupulous practices of energy retail supply companies (ESCOs), which have been preying on unsuspecting citizens--particularly, in low and moderate income communities!
This action by the Governor followed the publication of a scathing expose on ESCO practices in the Village Voice, earlier this month. CLP, the Public Utility Law Project (PULP), and fellow members of the Energy Democracy Alliance have been voicing concerns throughout the REV about predatory practices of these companies and the need to closely regulate them.
