CLP has submitted an application for NYSERDA Cleaner Greener Communities funding to support the development of the first CCA 2.0 model in New York and create a template for other communities around the state for localizing clean energy investments through CCA. Project partners in the grant application include Pace Climate and Energy Center, Local Power Inc., Rondout Valley Growers Association, RUPCO, Sustainable Energy Economics, the Clean Coalition, Courtney-Strong, Inc., and Central Hudson. The project received numerous letters of support from municipalities and organizations, including Ulster County, the Ulster County Association of Town Supervisors and Village Mayors, the City of Kingston the Towns of Marbletown, New Paltz, Plattekill, Rochester, Rosendale, and Saugerties, the Village of New Paltz, SUNY Ulster, The Nature Conservancy, and Catskill Mountainkeeper. With a PSC Order enabling CCA expected sometime in early 2016, the grant would enable an early start on CCA development and would fund the project over three years.
