Central Hudson (Fortis) has proposed a new rate plan for 2017-2018 that contains a number of questionable spending items and calls for an increase in fixed charges to customers—already the highest in the state—as well as a new type of residential customer charge. In October, the Public Service Commission held a series of public hearings on this plan in Poughkeepsie, Kingston, and Newburgh. If you missed those hearings, it's not too late to make our voices heard!
