Announcing New Citizens For Local Power Board Members

We are welcoming some new faces to our ranks, and are celebrating a transition! Welcome to Pat Courtney Strong our new Board Member-At-Large, and Lindsay Hutton, our former Coordinator who has taken a new role as Treasurer of the Board.

About Pat

Pat Courtney Strong is a small business owner and state certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise who has spent the last 15 years helping homeowners, businesses and local governments save money by saving energy. Pat has made Ulster County her home since 1983. After a decade as a newspaper reporter and editor, she began working as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Energy in 1998, supporting businesses that were early proponents of solar, wind and energy efficiency.  

In 2003, she began working as a contractor to the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), helping upstate homeowners, local governments and businesses access resources to make their buildings more energy efficient and more affordable. Other clients have included the State University of New York at Orange and Ulster Counties; Barton & Loguidice Engineers; the Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS) and its client, the New York State Power Authority; Pat has provided jobs to more than two dozen people since forming her own company in 2006. 

About Lindsay

Lindsay is proud to have served as CLP’s first Coordinator for the past two years. She’s excited to hand over the reins and join the Board of Directors in her new role as Treasurer. Lindsay also works as Director of Operations for Moonfarmer, a local creative digital studio.
