Poughkeepsie Journal: Central Hudson should lower fixed charges, not raise overall rates

In testimony submitted to the Public Service Commission (PSC), Citizens for Local Power (CLP) argued against the rate hike and proposed a step-down in the monthly fixed charge over three years. A lower fixed residential charge is important for our economic well-being: High fixed charges mean higher electric bills, which in turn mean a higher cost of living and less money to spend in the local economy.
