At the Rondout Municipal Center in Rosendale, today, CLP convened a meeting of representatives of Ulster County municipalities, Ulster County, and RUPCO to present CLP’s proposal to form an Ulster County working group to plan the creation of the first 2.0 model of CCA in New York. The working group would explore and develop CCAs goals, administrative structure, and programming, and would bring in different subject matter experts to inform the group’s work. Municipal officials from the City of Kingston, the Town and Village of New Paltz, and the Towns of Marbletown, Rochester, and Rosendale agreed to join the working group, which will convene at least monthly, beginning in August. RUPCO and The Nature Conservancy also plan to participate.
