In partnership with Renewable Heat Now, New Yorkers for Clean Power is collecting public comments on the joint utility filing for the utility energy efficiency programs.
The public comment deadline is July 1st.
The utility efficiency programs need to be well funded, accessible, provide incentives for renewable heating and cooling and not gas!

By connecting Hudson Valley residents with the creative solutions they need, we are building a strong economy, growing local businesses, and spreading information, making 3.8 million Hudson Valley residents aware that they have access to so many Earth-friendly products and initiatives.

Central Hudson (Fortis) has proposed a new rate plan for 2017-2018 that contains a number of questionable spending items and calls for an increase in fixed charges to customers - already the highest in the state - as well as a new type of residential customer charge. The Public Service Commission is holding public hearings on this plan in Poughkeepsie, Kingston, and Newburgh. This is the chance to make our voices heard! Information sessions will be held one hour prior to each hearing.

We need to fill the room and make our voices heard!

Join us for an informational forum, co-sponsored by the Ulster County Climate Smart Committee, CLP and others, to gather legal, tax, and zoning information for landowners and municipal officials, so that they can make more informed decisions about siting solar farms on their properties and in their communities.
Governor Cuomo and the PSC are changing NYS’s utility regulations, affecting everything from energy ownership rules and solar rebates to electricity rates and shut-off procedures. This major overhaul, called REV (Reforming the Energy Vision), could help our communities transform to a locally-based clean energy economy that creates jobs—but only if we step up and DEMAND it!
